I've got an account here as well. I'm really not happy about all the shit going on at LJ and am NOT in the frame of mind to expand to more journals, but I don't want to lose touch with my friends.
So here I am wondering howthefuck I get this journal to look like it wasn't done by a 4 years old.

Fans will return to the Farscape universe in an original Web series, set to be released on SCIFI.com. The 10-part series is executive produced by Brian Henson and Robert Halmi, Jr., and produced by The Jim Henson Company in association with RHI Entertainment. "The series will revive and expand the beloved Farscape universe," according to the network.
No word yet on just which actors or characters will be involved in the project, or just when it will arrive. After being unceremoniously cancelled after four seasons, the critically-acclaimed Farscape (starring Stargate SG-1's Ben Browder and Claudia Black) returned in 2004 for the 4-hour miniseries Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars.
The show is one of several new original programs in development for the Web site, which boasts itself to be the world's largest sci-fi entertainment Web site with more than 3 million unique visitors each month.

Does anyone have My Chemical Romance's "The Black Parade" cd they'd be willing to share with me? And if you could, rec any other of their cd's that have the same sort of energy.
BTW, did anyone in the UK get Prince's upcoming "Planet Earth" CD that they'd share? It was supposed to have been in Sunday's UK Mail as a free insert--last weekend, I think. Or maybe it's tomorrow. Call me clueless on the date other than the official release date of July 24th. He's been my favorite for years (since '78) and I can't wait to hear this one.
In fact, if anyone has any music they'd like to share, lay it on me. ;)

*sigh* Entries are *way* down recently and Jen and I are beginning to wonder if we need to close T H I S community, though we really don't want to. We *love* this community and everyone who participates, but there just isn't enough participation. *Everyone* who is a part of the community needs to participate and we desperately need more entries. Now both of us know there are a lot of Viggo/Orlando fans around here, we just can't figure out why we just don't have more icons submitted on a regular basis. Maybe it's just the holidays. Maybe it's people just don't think they can make icons. Maybe LIMS communities are more popular than the traditional icon challenges. We just honestly don't know. But do I know we've lost one person recently (and we DO miss you--lots and lots) and we surely don't want to lose any more. So please consider entering in the current challenge. We only have 3 submissions in each challenge and have room for a whole lot more before the deadline Saturday at 7 pm, so please consider entering H E R E
Or if you think the time for the community has come and gone and you think we should close it, tell us that too.
It seems odd that just a few weeks ago we had more entries than we ever had and now we're begging for participation again. Maybe it's 'cause I'm back. Want me to go? Tell us!

In case anyone wondered why I've not answered any mail, it's because my mother took a turn for the worst and I had to run back to where they admitted her to the hospital to be with her and my father.
It seems there were many things wrong with her and this time, too many for her to fight. She didn't want to extend her life by life-support, nor did she want a nursing home or any other efforts to prolong her life. So she decided she'd had enough for her 80 years and passed away this evening, peaceful in sleep with her husband of 56 years and me by her side.
I understand and upheld her wishes. It still doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye.
So Jen, if you wouldn't mind, please take over the communities for a week or so until I get myself more together--I'd really appreciate it.

For anyone who wondered, I received foodstamps which will run through September! Call me stunned, because I never did find a doctor to fill their damn form out. Go figure.

And on a completely different note, I drove over some plastic last week which promptly melted to my tailpipe making my car stink. Roommie got under there and tried to get off as much as she could, but a ton of it has melted on there and every time I drive, I smell like I'm on fire. And ideas for removing it? I went to a car wash that did underpinning cleaning and they said they couldn't help. *sigh*

No whining, no crying, no bitching, just appreciation and love in this post.
Everyone has hard times and moments in time that their lives are for shit. I think it's part of being human--not a good part, but necessary for growth and understanding for the next potion of the journey. However, this post is for the positives, for appreciation, love and thankfulness.
I'm going to share some thankfulness and love and I want you guys to do the same. I know sometimes it's hard to say "thank you" or "I appreciate you" or "you're important to me, so here's this post. Feel free to do the same and anyone can post who wants to. Feel free to share the link if you want--up to you.
So here's the beginning of my list, I'm sure I'll edit as I think of more.
1. Hugs to wav for dealing with me and all my baggage and trying to make it better. No one could ask for a better, more loyal friend. For her unwavering devotion and financial help through these past years. You're my family. *smooshes*
2. Hugs to maubast for more of the same as above. And for listening. And all that other mushy sis-type stuff neither of us would ever say out loud.
3. Hugs to my flist. Some people say they love their flist, but I really do mean it because you guys are important to me, more than you'll probably ever know. *group hugs* I'd love to mention a few by name, but knowing my luck, I'd leave out someone very important and then feel like a jerk so I'll just leave it as love for all.
4. Love and appreciation to wav's parents. They very important to me and have made me feel like I'm truly a part of their family.
5. Love to Roy for giving me the years and the space to allow me to come to terms with my love for him and to understand it could never be more than what it is.
6. Hugs to Deb for understanding my dream and trying to help me find a way to make it happen.
7. Love to Orlando who somehow, through the anger, tears, frustration and rage of my life, has found a way to make me smile. Even though I know he'll never know how important that is to me, I had to say it.
8. And lastly (at least for now), love, gratitude and appreciation to my parents who adopted me as a child and chose to keep me even after becoming so ill as an infant. They've been there for me in good times and all the bad ones offering support in every conceivable way, and it's so very much appreciated.
